The Secret to Success
The Secret Sauce for Success
Why do some people achieve their goals while others, weeks, months, even years later, are still wishing and hoping for success?
When I think about what separates successful entrepreneurs and clients from those who are unsuccessful it is usually one thing.
But-it’s probably not what you think…
It’s not experience.
It’s not talent or ability (surprising, I know).
It’s not their IQ.
It’s not even willpower.
It’s actually something that anyone, anywhere can do. It doesn’t matter what your age is or what your history has been. You could be rich or poor, have a college degree or a GED, be an extrovert or an introvert.
What is the magical quality? It’s so simple, I’m afraid you will be disappointed. But I hope you won’t discount it because it is so simple…
The Secret to Success is this: It is a willingness to take action and learn from the results of that action. It’s simple but hard.
First Step: Taking action means:
- Taking a risk
- Stepping out of the familiarity of status quo
- Being vulnerable
- Being uncomfortable, nervous, afraid
There’s a lot of ‘what if’s’ that go along with taking action and unsuccessful people allow those ‘what if’s’ to paralyze them. Successful people acknowledge the ‘what if’s’… and do it anyway.
Second Step: Evaluating the results means:
- Being an active learner not a passive learner
- Coping with failure and mistakes
Maybe taking action isn’t your problem. You are taking action all the time! But, and its a big BUT, do you take the time to evaluate and learn from your action? Are you continually tweaking and changing your actions to ensure and create success? Or are you simply taking the same action over and over? If you are getting the same results its a sign that you need to make changes…
Are you ready to take action?
Are you ready to evaluate and learn from your past actions?
