Is fear holding your back?
In a book entitled, The Top Five Regrets of the Dying, an Australian nurse, Bonnie Ware, who spent years caring for the terminally ill writes that the number one regret of her patients is this: I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
What about you? Are you living your authentic life? Or just doing what is expected?
Is fear holding you back?
What could you accomplish if you acknowledged the fear but went ahead and did it anyway? What would an authentic life look like for you?
Helen Keller said, “Feel the fear, do it anyway.”
I see it in the clients that I coach. That has been the key to anything I’ve accomplished as well. One step, sometimes one very small step at a time, builds a successful life, if we don’t let fear drive the bus.
It’s how I built a successful training and coaching business. It’s what I base my relationships on. Not because I am always confident and courageous. I just do it anyway. Actions don’t have to be determined by feelings.
Are you living a life true to yourself or the life others expect of you? Answering that question and acting on the answer could change everything.
Do you need some help with creating a plan that will help you move closer to you dream job and dream life?
